LEVELS

Adult groups

Discovery
An introductory week for absolute beginners

Level 2
One to two weeks' skiing experience and confident on skis. Ready to learn parallel turns on blue runs
..........................................................................

Level 3
Two to three weeks' skiing experience and confident on blue runs. Would like to challenge more trying runs.
..........................................................................

Level 4
Four to five weeks' experience or more and skis parallel on red runs. Would like to improve technique and make visible progress on steeper runs, bumps and ice.
..........................................................................

Level 5
This class is perfectly suited to those who ski any red and black run and feel comfortable off piste. Improvement on off-piste technique (weather permitting).

SCAREDY CAT
Scaredy Cat groups are generally available for all levels (subject to a minimum of 3 people per group) and is suited for nervous skiers at all basic levels.

If you are still not sure about which level would suit you, please do not hesitate to consult with us. Also remember that we are often able to move a client to a more appropriate group after the first day if the group is not quite adapted to their level.

 

ALPINE SKIING FOR CHILDREN
For security and progress, we strongly recommend full day lessons for your children.
At the end of a week of ski lessons, each child will receive a report card and a medal corresponding to his level.
Which level am I? What is my goal?

Snowman
Child is an absolute beginner. He/she will start off on flat nursery slopes and progress towards using the drag-lift on day-two, then progress towards using the chairlift by the end of the week. Will practice direct descents and simple turns in the snowplough position.

Premier ski
Child has been skiing one or two weeks. He/she can snowplough, stop and is starting to turn on easy green runs.
..........................................................................
Bronze
Child has been skiing one to three weeks. He is autonomous and can get his own skis on. He turns and advances on green and blue runs and will learn to ski parallel.

Silver
Child has been skiing three to five weeks and he skis on blue and red runs. He skis parallel and has confidence to do more and progress further.
..........................................................................
Gold
Child has skied at least five weeks and would like to master all kinds of runs with confidence. He skis parallel and is at least eight years old.

Diamond
Child has passed the Gold level and can master almost all kinds of runs with confidence. He skis parallel and is between eight and 12 years old but not quite ready for the Competition group.
..........................................................................
Competition
Child is between nine and thirteen years old and has passed his gold level. Can ski parallel on red runs and needs speed and technical guidance. His challenge will be black runs and he will be introduced to slalom. Course includes initiation to carving, snowblade and snowboard.
